Luxembourg's Ministry of Health has reported 67 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections from 6,100 tests carried out on residents on Wednesday; there have been 124 fatalities (no change since 17 August) resulting from the virus to date.
The total number of Luxembourg residents having tested positive for coronavirus stands at 8,158 as of early evening on Thursday 24 September 2020.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) in cases is now 88.14.
The number of people currently hospitalised with COVID-19 is 26, with three patients in intensive care. At present, there are 1,124 active infections known, whilst a total of 6,910 people have recovered from the virus.
The effective reproductive number in Luxembourg is currently 1.14.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
