Luxembourg's Ministry of Health has reported fourteen new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections from 5,132 tests carried out on residents on Monday; there have been 124 fatalities (no change since 17 August) resulting from the virus to date.
The total number of Luxembourg residents having tested positive for coronavirus reached 6,974 as of early evening on Tuesday 8 September 2020.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) in cases is now 38.00.
The number of people currently hospitalised with COVID-19 is 20, with no patients in intensive care. At present, there are 584 active infections known, whilst a total of 6,266 people have recovered from the virus.
The effective reproductive number in Luxembourg is currently 1.04.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
