Luxembourg's Ministry of Health has reported 60 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections from 7,552 tests carried out on Wednesday; since 24 August, the published figures now only include resident infection numbers, which have reached a total of 6,811 as of early evening on Tuesday 3 September 2020.
There have been 124 fatalities (no change since Wednesday) resulting from the virus to date.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) in cases is now 37.29.
The number of people currently hospitalised with COVID-19 is sixteen, with two patients in intensive care. There are currently 613 active infections known, whilst a total of 6,074 people have recovered from the virus.
The effective reproductive number in Luxembourg is currently 0.90.
