Luxembourg's Ministry of Health has reported 48 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections from 6,615 tests carried out on Saturday; since 24 August, the published figures now only include resident infection numbers, which have reached a total of 6,673 as of early evening on Sunday 30 August 2020.
There have been 124 fatalities (no change since Saturday) resulting from the virus to date.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) in cases is now 44.43.
The number of people currently hospitalised with COVID-19 is 30, with two patients in intensive care. The effective reproductive number in Luxembourg is currently 1.03.
