The number of people having tested positive for COVID-19 (coronavirus) in Luxembourg stands at 7,928, including 90 new cases (75 residents and 15 non-residents) reported by the Ministry of Health on the evening of Wednesday 26 August 2020; there have been 124 fatalities (no change since Tuesday) resulting from the virus to date.

Over the past 24 hours, 6,669 residents and 1,481 non-residents were tested for the virus. The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) in cases is now 48.43.  

The number of people currently hospitalised with COVID-19 is 33, with two patients in intensive care. The effective reproductive number in Luxembourg is currently 1.07.
