The Luxembourg Army has announced changes to the opening hours of mask distribution centres for cross-border workers.

Since the start of the distribution of surgical masks to cross-border workers on 11 May, more than 90,000 out of 205,000 boxes of masks were collected in the first week.

Mask distribution will continue, in collaboration with POST Luxembourg, until Sunday 24th May 2020 as follows. During this Thursday's Ascension holiday, only two sites (Square Mile car park in Esch-Belval and Luxembourg Airport car park) will remain open, from 09:00 to 17:00. On Friday 22 May 2020, all sites will be open from 07:00 to 19:00. In order to better direct the flow of cross-border workers at the various collection centres this weekend, only the following sites will remain open from 09:00 to 17:00: Parc Merveilleux car park in Bettembourg; eLake Festival car park in Echternach; Square Mile car park in Esch-Belval; Park & Ride in Frisange; Luxembourg Airport car park; Park & Ride in Mertert; Park & Ride in Steinfort; and Troisvierges train station.

Next week, only the Luxembourg Airport and Esch-Belval sites will remain open, from Monday 25 to Friday 29 May 2020. Cross-border workers who have not received a voucher by 24 May can collect their masks from one of these two sites with their ID and social security card.
