The number of people having tested positive for COVID-19 (coronavirus) in Luxembourg stands at 3,695 (up 30 from Thursday), including 85 fatalities resulting from the virus, as of early evening on Friday 24 April 2020.
Of those people having tested positive for coronavirus to date, 2,998 are residents and 697 are non-residents. The average age of those testing positive is 46, with the ratio of men to women being 51% / 49%, while the median age of the victims (excluding one patient from the Grand Est) who lost their lives to the virus is 85 (average age: 83). 163 people remain hospitalised at present in relation to COVID-19, including 25 patients (plus those transferred from the Grand Est) in intensive care. Nevertheless, 760 have been discharged from hospital.
Since the beginning of the crisis, Luxembourg has carried out a total of 37,782 tests (30,414 on residents, 7,368 on non-residents).
