Luxembourg Army Distributes Masks to Embassies, European Institutions

Luxembourg's Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, with the support of the Luxembourg Army, yesterday distributed masks to embassies as well as European and international institutions headquartered in the Grand Duchy.

With more than 16,000 European and international civil servants and agents, European institutions, bodies, offices and international organisations located in Luxembourg make an important economic, cultural and social contribution to Luxembourg society.

The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs stressed in a statement yesterday that Luxembourg has been able to count on the support and cooperation of European and international institutions and diplomatic missions since the beginning of the COVID-19 health crisis. The distribution of masks to these embassies and institutions was thus an act of reciprocal solidarity, in line with the government decisions taken on 15 April 2020 on mask distribution in the context of Luxembourg's exit strategy.
