On Monday 20 April 2020, Luxembourg's Hôpitaux Robert Schuman announced the repatriation of its first COVID-19 patient from France following successful treatment.
The patient in question arrived at the Luxembourg hospital for treatment on 23 March 2020 and was able to return home to Alsace on Monday.
The individual was one of ten COVID-19 patients from the Grand Est, one of the worst affected regions in France, to be transferred to intensive care units in Luxembourg last month.
