The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a worker was fatally injured in an accident at a construction site on Route de Thionville in Luxembourg City on Thursday 22 October 2026.
According to the police, officers were called to the scene at around 15:20 after a worker sustained fatal injuries while carrying out an inspection on a crane. The cause of the accident has not yet been established.
Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the accident. The Public Prosecutor's Office has also requested an autopsy of the victim and a technical expert assessment.
