The Grand Ducal Police have reported the arrest of two suspects following a shoplifting incident in Schifflange on Tuesday 20 October 2026.
According to the police, one person allegedly threw a backpack containing suspected stolen goods over a fence at a shop in the ZAE "Auf Herbett" industrial area. A second person then collected the backpack and drove away in an unknown direction.
During a subsequent search, police located two suspects near the premises. The backpack was also recovered nearby and was found to contain several electronic devices. The stolen goods were subsequently returned to the shop.
Acting on the instructions of the Public Prosecutor's Office, both suspects were arrested and brought before an investigating judge.
