On Sunday 27 September 2026, the Grand Ducal Police launched an appeal for witnesses following a road traffic accident involving a scooter which occurred on the CR152 between Mondorf and Buermerange on Friday 25 September 2026.
According to initial information, the police were alerted to the accident at around 17:30 on Friday. At the scene, officers found a scooter registered in France lying damaged in a field near the road. The driver received initial emergency treatment from the rescue services before being transported to hospital.
According to initial findings, the driver lost control of the scooter on a bend for reasons that remain unclear, came to a stop on a type of drain on the roadside verge and was subsequently thrown into the field. People who arrived at the scene first provided first aid.
The injured driver suffered memory loss and was unable to provide any information about the circumstances of the accident.
