On Tuesday 7 July 2026, the Grand Ducal Police reported that two people had been taken into custody following an assault outside the Central Station in Luxembourg-Gare.
Police said they received a report at around 11:30 of an injured person outside the station's main entrance. When officers arrived, they found three persons at the scene, including one lying on the ground with injuries.
According to initial information, the victim had been assaulted by two individuals following a verbal altercation between those involved.
Police said both suspects were heavily intoxicated. Due to their condition and for disturbing public order, officers placed them in police custody until they had sobered up, and drew up an official report.
