The 43rd edition of the National Literary Competition (Concours littéraire national) will focus on collections of stories in the Luxembourgish, French, German and / or English languages.

Created in 1978 by Luxembourg's Ministry of Culture, the National Literary Competition aims to encourage literary creation in the Grand Duchy. Each year the competition has a different subject, with the coming year focussing on collections of stories.

The competition consists of two prize categories: one for adult authors (first prize: €5,000), the other for young authors aged 12 to 19 (first prize: €2,000).

The 2022 National Literary Competition is open to all authors of Luxembourg nationality, residents and / or those who have their fixed or predominant place of work in the Grand Duchy. 

The deadline for submitting manuscripts is Monday 6 June 2022.

The jury of the competition is composed of Mylène Branco, Marion Rockenbrod, Jeff Schinker, Pascal Seil and Jeff Thoss.
