Luxembourg’s Centre National de Littérature has announced a conference by Ludivine Jehin on “Félix Servais: The Duke of Saint-Firmont”, which will take place on Tuesday 18 October 2016 from 19:30.
In collaboration with the Fondation Servais, Ludivine Jehin will present Félix Servais, a dandy-playwright, actor-author and outsider judge, and his 1906 work entitled “The Duke of Saint-Firmont”. The play encompasses the existential and aesthetic attitude of its eccentric protagonist. It is both classical and unconventional, and reflects mainly on the contradictions of a man who dreams of lights, glamour and fame who then ends up exiled, powerless and forgotten.
Entrance to the conference is free. The actor Jules Werner will lend his voice to a selection of the texts.
