Over the weekend, the best germanophone and francophone poets will be facing each other at the sixth edition of the Poetry Slam de Lux' festival.
Two evening concerts will take place for the event, one at 20:00 on Friday 16 October 2015 at the Prabbeli cultural centre in Wiltz and the second at 20:00 on Saturday 17 October 2015 at Rotondes. These two venues have joined the Institute Pierre Werner in hosting the Poetry Slam de Lux' for the sixth consecutive year.
Francophone slammer competitors will include French Clotilde, who holds the title of slam world champion and France 2014 champion; Swiss Sélénien, winner of the International Slam Festival of Lausanne in 2014; and Belgian Professeur V, who regularly organises international slam meetings in Mons.
The German-speaking side will be comprised of one of the most widely known German slam poets, Sebastian 23, and Austrian slammr champion title holder, Elias Hirschl. At the Poetry Slam de Lux', these slam artists will have only twenty minutes to convince the public, with each competitor offering poetry of national sensibilities.
