MNKS has announced the arrival of a new Partner, Basile Fémelat, to pursue its cross departmental approach and specific focus on finance, private equity, regulatory and FinTech. He is the 10th Partner at MNKS, following Saskia Myners who joined in 2014 to strengthen the firm's activities in the private equity sector.
Basile is 37 years old, he was admitted to the Paris Bar in 2004 and holds a double degree in law and finance with a master’s degree in banking law and capital markets from Lyon III University, as well as a master’s degree in Finance, law and international management from HEC in France.
Prior to joining MNKS he worked at Bonn Schmitt Steichen and also at Baker & McKenzie as head of their securitisation practice where he supervised a six-member team and gained valuable experience in securitisation, structured finance, banking law, regulatory and private equity.
Known for his entrepreneurial spirit and approachable personality, Basile’s mission will be to expand MNKS' range of services in the financial and corporate sector.
Basile has taken over responsibility for the FinTech sector actions at MNKS, with the objective of ensuring a focussed understanding of the sector and coordinating various departments and expertise (finance, corporate, new technologies, regulatory) in order to create a dedicated offering.
