Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg asbl (JEL) has announced the appointment of Sven Baltes as the organisation’s next Director, effective from Saturday 15 March 2025.

In a press release, JEL described Sven Baltes as a former Startup Relations Manager at Luxinnovation, passionate about entrepreneurship and with in-depth knowledge of the Luxembourg startup ecosystem. JEL added that Sven Baltes is expected to bring his expertise and commitment to strengthen both the development of activities and the impact of the organisation.

Patrick Wies, President of JEL, commented: “We are pleased to welcome Sven to our team. His expertise, dynamism and enthusiasm for entrepreneurship will be major assets for Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg, for the development of our activities in order to inspire and support the next generation of entrepreneurs”.

Since 2005, JEL has been committed to inspiring and preparing young people to innovate, create, take initiatives and be responsible. The association offers twelve educational programmes, covering all levels of Luxembourgish education, primary, secondary and higher education, based on the "learning by doing" approach. These programmes aim to develop the entrepreneurial potential of young people, while strengthening the links between the worlds of education and business.

According to the press release, a new management committee is being set up to ensure optimal management and to maximise the impact of the association. Sven Baltes will be accompanied by Yves Wiltgen, appointed Deputy Director, and Myriam Baustert, who takes on the role of Programme Manager. Together, they are expected to combine their skills and commitment to continue the development of JEL and support young people in their entrepreneurial adventure.

The JEL team stated they were delighted with this new dynamic and to build the future of the organisation together.
