Luxembourg's national statistics institute, STATEC, has published its latest report ranking the country's biggest employers in terms of number of employees.

The list is based on a non-compulsory annual survey of enterprises and groups of enterprises located in the Grand Duchy and employing at least 90 people as of 1 January 2024. It covers activities in industry, construction, trade and most service activities.

CFL Group, the national railway company, once again topped the list, with 4,990 employees (up from 4,790 the previous year). This was followed by Dussmann Luxembourg Group with 4,710 employees (up from 4,460) and POST Luxembourg Group with 4,350 employees (down from 4,500). Amazon.com fell from second to fifth place over one year (4,270 employees in 2024 vs 4,570 in 2023).
