On Friday 14 June 2024, announced that the management of Anthogyr and the LCGB, the only union represented in the staff delegation, have signed an agreement on the terms of the social plan at the company located in Mersch.
After three negotiation meetings, and due to “constructive discussions” led together with the LCGB and its staff representatives, the agreement provides for the necessary social measures to enable employees to adapt and find new employment "as soon as possible", the LCGB noted.
At the start of the negotiations, the number of redundancies was reduced from 29 to 28. This number could fall further given that the partners have agreed that each employee concerned will be offered a position within the Straumann group, of which Anthogyr forms part. The LCGB noted it will support employees who do not take advantage of this offer in their efforts to find new employment.
