Luxembourg's Ministry of Finance has announced the swearing in of the new director of Luxembourg Inland Revenue (Administration des contributions directes - ACD).

On Tuesday 30 April 2024, Luxembourg's Minister of Finance, Gilles Roth, swore in Jean-Paul Olinger as the new director of the ACD, effective as of Wednesday 1 May 2024.

During a ceremony organised at the ACD headquarters, Minister Roth outlined the many challenges facing the ACD before specifying: "It is important to advance the projects of digitalisation and general modernisation of this administration. The ACD must become a leading figure in the Luxembourg administrative landscape: based on the skills it undoubtedly has and listening to and serving all taxpayers."

In his new role, Jean-Paul Olinger, former director of the Luxembourg Employers' Association (Union des Entreprises Luxembourgeoises - UEL), will focus on innovation and development of the administration. He elaborated: "Together with the ACD staff, we will build an administration resolutely focused on the future, with a shared vision and values, clear objectives and tangible results, particularly in the area of digitalisation and administrative simplification."
