On Tuesday 4 July 2023, the economic interest group (Groupement d'intérêt économique - GIE) Terra Matters appointed Jérôme Dierickx as its new director effective since 1 July 2023.

Terra Matters aims to promote and support the transition to a circular economy by ensuring the development, management and promotion of the "Product Circularity Data Sheet" (PCDS), a circular data management system for materials and products initially launched by the Luxembourg Ministry of the Economy.

Aged 48 and of Franco-Luxembourgish nationality, Jérôme Dierickx has over 20 years of professional experience. He holds a master's degree in business management from the Strasbourg School of Management and is currently completing an MBA in “Responsible leadership and sustainable development” at Maastricht University.

Created in December 2022, the GIE Terra Matters brings together, on the one hand, the Ministry of the Economy and on the other, the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce.

GIE Terra Matters now also has its own identity, with its new logo representing a moving coloured ring set with a black dot. It symbolises the different loops and material flows possible in the circular economy.

In order to become a recognised international standard on the declaration, audit and exchange of the circular properties of products, the PCDS initiative is in the process of going through the various stages to become a future ISO standard, the Ministry of the Economy stated.
