On Tuesday 20 June 2023, JLL, a global commercial real estate and investment management company, announced the appointment of Sébastien Giordano as the new Country Leader (CEO) for Luxembourg and Belgium.
Sébastien, currently Head of Project & Development Services (P&DS) JLL Belux, will extend his responsibilities and take over the general management of the company for these two markets from 1 September 2023. He will succeed Kasper Deforche, who has decided to seize new career opportunities and will leave the company at the start of the school year.
Based in Brussels, Belgium, Sébastien joined JLL in November 2022 and, according to JLL, has been instrumental in leading and strengthening the company's P&DS activities at Belux level. With 20 years of experience in the real estate sector and expertise in steering studies and managing construction, infrastructure and environmental projects, he brings "strong added value" to JLL clients, noted the company in a press release.
In his new expanded role, Sébastien will focus, with the support of all teams, on JLL's commitment to delivering "unparalleled" real estate services in terms of quality and on stimulating the growth of the company. He is expected to play a key role with clients by guiding them in their strategic choices through a changing real estate landscape, while providing a fresh perspective to the company.

The appointment of Sébastien Giordano comes on top of the recent announcement of Emna Rekik's promotion to Country Lead and Head of Markets in Luxembourg in May 2023.
