The LCGB trade union has reported that, on Wednesday 5 April 2023, another meeting took place between the management of Husky Technologies and trade unions (LCGB, the majority union in the company, and OGBL) as well as the staff delegation, in the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Employment and the Economy regarding the threatened loss of 155 jobs.

Prior to this meeting, employee representatives also met with the Minister of Labour and the Minister of the Economy. According to the LCGB, government representatives have clearly shown themselves in favour of the establishment of a Plan for Maintenance in Employment (PME) faithful to the Luxembourg social dialogue model and have also assured their support in this regard.

Due to the evolution of the situation in the industrial sector, the trade unions affirmed the need for a tripartite meeting with the representatives of FEDIL.

Thanks to the presence of the representatives of the ministries, a constructive discussion on the measures to be taken within the framework of a PME was able to take place with the management and will continue next week. The objective is to guarantee the employment of all the employees concerned.
