EY Luxembourg Appoints 20 New Partners, 2 Directors

EY Luxembourg has announced a record number of promotions, effective since 1 July 2022; 20 new partners and two directors have reinforced the leadership team to support the firm's growth ambitions.

Equity Partner promotions

Anthony Cannella is an auditor with a focus on the technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) and commercial and private companies (CPS) sectors. Anthony is now also responsible for the EYnovation initiative which supports the start-up ecosystem in Luxembourg.

Bernhard Bittner leads EY's regulatory reporting service for wealth and asset management across Europe. He provides consulting services for digital transformation- and managed services.

Brice Bultot has been dedicated to the insurance industry and is primarily in charge of the audit of large insurance and reinsurance entities based in Luxembourg.

Christian Mertesdorf is a specialist in business taxation, with prime focus on corporate income tax compliance services and inbound tax advisory for companies in various sectors.

Dorian Rigaud is an auditor and specialist of financial accounting advisory services for the banking and capital markets industry and private equity (PE).

Papa Saliou Diop is the Securitisation Leader of EY Luxembourg. He is serving companies operating in diverse industries and geographies with a focus on banks, securitisation vehicles and professionals of the finance sector (PFS).

Pierre-Marie Boul is the Asset Servicing Leader for EY Luxembourg, serving both asset managers and asset servicers in providing a complete range of assurance services from financial statements audit to International Standard on Assurance Engagements (ISAE) reporting.

Priscilia Valtaer is specialised in auditing PE firms, primarily in the venture capital and funds of funds sectors.

Partner promotions

Benjamin Accadia is consultant in business strategy and transformation and is particularly active in the banking, wealth and investment management industries.

Karim Bouaissi has a strong expertise in Luxembourg and European IT regulations and advises clients from the financial sector in complying with the multiple requirements and also assists them in obtaining their licence in Luxembourg.

Sosthène Bussiere is active in the Business Tax Compliance practice in Luxembourg serving real estate and PE houses as well as multinational companies.

Clotilde Buriez has extensive experience in auditing real estate entities and in the audit of regulated and unregulated entities. She is knowledgeable in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Lux GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) statutory and consolidated reporting.

Camila Calderon is providing tax and consultancy services with a prime focus on international reorganisations, cross-border financing as well as mergers and acquisitions via Luxembourg intermediate entities.

Wafa Cheriti is the Internal Audit Leader in the Extended Assurance practice. She provides assurance and consulting services to key players in the alternative asset management and banking sectors.

Petar Petrov Dionissiev has been working within the CPS practice for the last ten years, mainly serving large international corporations in the energy and retail sector.

André Machado specialises in transactions, leading teams in global cross-border real estate transactions and focusing on the setup of investment structures, exit strategies, refinancing and restructurings.

Eduardo Medina has sixteen years of experience as a transfer pricing advisor for multinational companies in both the financial and industrial sector across various countries.

Jens Schmidt is supporting wealth managers, management companies and alternative investment fund managers in executing large scale risk and regulatory transformation programmes.

Nicolas Tinant is serving and developing key PE accounts. Nicolas has also developed the infrastructure practice for the last six years.

Dan Zandona is currently co-leading managed services related to reporting obligations for national and international financial institutions.

New Directors

Anne Bellini is the Europe West Talent Director for Tax and Core Business Services, driving and executing the talent agenda for 13,000 professionals.

Ryan Hajeris is responsible for several risk management specialties with a focus on client and engagement onboarding and risk management infrastructure.

New Leadership roles within the firm

New Leadership roles within the firm include Adriana Boixados (Partner, Tax) as the new People Leader, replacing Isabelle Nicks (Partner, Assurance) in this role.

Gaël Denis (Partner, Assurance) has been appointed Chief Operational Officer (COO). Fernando Longares (Partner, Tax) has taken over Gaël Denis' previous role of Technology, Media and Telecommunications Leader.

Romain Swertvaeger (Partner, Assurance) has been appointed Fintech Leader.

Brice Bultot (Partner, Assurance) has been appointed Insurance Leader and a new Partner, Aude de Roquancourt has joined the firm.
