The Country Leadership Committee of EY Luxembourg has announced the promotion of fifteen of its professionals to Partners.
Three were promoted to Associates and twelve to Associate Partners, whilst one was promoted to Director, effective as of 1 July 2021.

New Partners
Adriana Boixados Prio, Tax, ITTS, Private Equity
40-year-old Adriana Boixados from Spain, joined EY in 2007. A graduate lawyer, she holds a master's degree in law as well as a diploma in tax advice and management from ESADE Business School in Barcelona (Spain). She has extensive experience in advising Private Equity funds and more broadly in the management of alternative assets in the structuring and operation of their holding and fund platforms, including regulated and unregulated structures. Ms Boixados specialises in transactional tax advice, leading multidisciplinary teams in large cross-border transactions and focusing on the design and implementation of co-investment structures, exit strategies. She also covers management investment plans, deferred interest plans and other personalised arrangements in a transactional context.
Alexandre Minarelli, Consulting, Technology Risk, CPS / TMT
Alexandre Minarelli, a 40-year-old French and Italian national, joined EY Luxembourg in 2004. Since then, he has focused on IT and security services, mainly in the commercial and TMT sectors. He is a Telecom engineer and holds a master's degree in eBusiness. With eighteen years of experience in IT and cyber computing as well as deep expertise in FAIT, SOC and GDPR reporting, he has supported a wide range of national and multinational companies with audit services and consulting in areas such as IT / cyber assessments, IT / IS governance, ISO certifications, data management and privacy.
Per Ohlin, Tax, ITTS, Private Equity
43-year-old Per Ohlin from Sweden joined EY Luxembourg in 2005. He holds a law degree from Lund University, Sweden. Mr Ohlin has a long experience serving Private Equity clients and other alternative investment funds (AIFs) on transactions, throughout the investment life cycle but also on fund structuring aspects. He has been mainly affiliated to the Private Equity sector since 2011 after being seconded for one year to the Luxembourg Tax desk in Chicago (US).
New Associate Partners
Valerio Bove, Assurance, ACR
Valerio Bove, a 40-year-old Italian national, joined EY Luxembourg in February 2020 as Director within the ACR practice specialising in private capital. He holds a master's degree in economics from the University of Naples “Federico II”, the oldest public university in the world. In addition, he has been a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) since 2013. Prior to joining EY, he was chief financial officer (CFO) of a pan-European alternative investment where he led a number of strategic acquisitions. Mr Bove is responsible for reviewing and designing the financial reporting system for Private Equity funds and making recommendations for their improvement. He is also leading, together with other EY professionals, a number of new initiatives to expand our service offering, including the PE Lab and the EY Managed Services platform.
Stéphane Cousin, Assurance, Commercial Private Services
48-year-old Stéphane Cousin from Belgium joined EY Luxembourg in 1996 as Junior in Assurance. He holds a master's degree in business administration from Solvay Business School in Brussels, Belgium. Mr Cousin has over 24 years of experience in Luxembourg in commercial and industrial companies and mainly focuses on the technology and logistics sectors. He is a company auditor in Luxembourg. Mr Cousin leads innovation and digital audit in EY's CPS practice. He is also a teacher at the University of Luxembourg.
Hélène Crepin, Tax, ITTS
Hélène Crepin, a 35-year-old Belgian national, joined EY Luxembourg in 2009 within its International Tax Services practice. She holds a university degree in law and has over eleven years of experience providing a wide range of cutting-edge tax and advisory services for several of the world's largest multinational corporations, with a particular focus on international reorganisations, cross-border financing as well as mergers and acquisitions via Luxembourg intermediary entities. Ms Crepin co-leads the Tax Controversy practice by helping clients prevent, manage and successfully resolve their disputes with the Luxembourg tax authorities. She is also a member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA).
Marie Sophie Dervieu, Tax, ITTS, Banking and Insurance
Marie Sophie, a 35-year-old French national, joined EY Luxembourg in 2014 as a Senior in its International Tax Services practice after spending five years in the banking sector. She holds a master's degree in Financial Engineering from a French business school. Ms Dervieu has more than ten years of experience in advising Luxembourg financial institutions and operational groups on Luxembourg tax regulatory requirements with a particular emphasis on tax fraud as well as on operational taxation. She has assisted many private banks and professionals of the financial sector (PFS) in the implementation of anti-money laundering (AML) tax regulations and tax transparency standards. In addition, she actively supports the Family Office initiative of EY Luxembourg and regularly speaks at various EY events and external conferences.
Salman Muhammad Farooqui, Assurance, Private Equity
Salman Farooqui, a 42-year-old Luxembourg-Pakistani dual national, joined EY Luxembourg in 2007 as a Senior in its Audit practice to which he returned in 2013 after having acquired some experience in the sector. He holds a bachelor's degree in Commerce from the University of Karachi. Mr Farooqui is a Réviseur d'Entreprises in Luxembourg and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants - UK. He has acquired over twelve years of experience in the financial services sector in Luxembourg, mainly in Private Equity and real estate. Since joining EY Luxembourg, Mr Farooqui has held several multinational audit mandates. He has extensive experience in regulated and unregulated structures and local generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and US GAAP standards. He is also currently involved in the implementation of automation in the Private Equity industry.
Alexander Kastendeuch, Assurance, Banking & Capital Markets, Securitisation
40-year-old Alexander Kastendeuch from Germany joined EY Luxembourg in 2019 as Senior Manager in Assurance. He studied in Germany and Finland and holds an MBA from the University of the Saar in Saarbrücken, Germany. Mr Kastendeuch is a Réviseur d'Entreprises in Luxembourg and the United Kingdom (ACCA). He has over fifteen years of experience in Assurance and Consulting in Luxembourg and the UK. He works with major banking, insurance and securitisation clients.
Lena Le Gal, FAAS, Audit
Léna Le Gal, a 35-year-old French national, joined EY Luxembourg in 2008. She is a Réviseur d'Entreprises in Luxembourg. She holds a master's degree in Management Control, Accounting and Auditing from the Institut de Gestion in Rennes, France, and a postgraduate degree from the Cambridge Institute for Sustainable Leadership. Ms Le Gal's areas of expertise are financial and extra-financial reporting, and more particularly consolidation services and assurance of non-financial reporting. She has managed numerous large mandates in the commercial and alternative investment fund sectors. She is a member of the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) for the REIF Financial Framework working group.
Marie-Laure Mounguia, Assurance, Audit, Private Equity
34-year-old Marie-Laure Mounguia from France joined EY Luxembourg in 2011. She holds a master's degree from EMLYON Business School, France. Ms Mounguia is CFA Charterholder and Réviseur d'Entreprises in Luxembourg. She has worked for reputable Private Equity houses in Luxembourg and made a secondment in the SaT department of EY Ivory Coast in Africa. Ms Mounguia co-chairs the Private Debt Technical Committee of the Luxembourg Private Equity Association (LPEA), writes a monthly column in the financial newspaper Agefi, writes regular publications and speaks at market events.
Joachim Polfliet, Assurance, Extended Assurance
Joachim Polfliet, a 36-year-old Belgian national, joined EY Luxembourg in 2014 as a Manager within the Extended Assurance department. He holds a bachelor's degree in information management from KHM in Mechelen, Belgium. Mr Polfliet has acquired fifteen years of experience in advising and assisting national and international financial institutions in matters of financial crime, with a particular focus on the fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism. His experience encompasses skills and knowledge of AML / CFT systems and controls, both functional and technical. During his career, he worked for a year in Vienna, Austria, and travelled regularly to the Middle East for two years. Mr Polfliet is at the service of various sectors including: Banking, PFS, Alternatives, Insurance and Wealth and Asset Management.
Dorian Rigaud, Assurance, Banking & Capital Markets
Dorian Rigaud, a 33-year-old French national, joined EY Luxembourg in 2011. He holds a master's degree in Management, Accounting and Auditing from the University of Montpellier, France. Mr Rigaud is a Réviseur d'Entreprises in France and Luxembourg. During his years with the firm, he managed several large audit mandates. He has also developed financial accounting consulting services in Banking & Capital Markets as well as in Private Equity. In addition, he is a member of the Luxembourg IFRS desk.
Cosimo Ruggiero, Assurance, Audit
Cosimo Ruggiero, a 37-year-old Italian national, joined EY Luxembourg in 2012 as a Senior in its Audit practice. He holds a master's degree in management of financial institutions and markets from Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi in Milan and is a member of ACCA. Mr Ruggiero has over nine years of experience in Luxembourg serving clients in Wealth and Asset Management, many of which are linked to Italian players. Before joining EY Luxembourg, he had acquired more than two years of experience in Italy serving banking and asset management clients with another Big 4. He is a member of the EY Luxembourg Italian Desk and regularly hosts internal training events.
Christian Weines, Tax, GCR, Private Equity
Christian Weines, a 41-year-old German national, joined EY Luxembourg in 2008 as an assistant in its FSO Tax practice. He holds a diploma in business administration with a specialisation in taxation and auditing. Over the past thirteen years, Mr Weines has participated in a large number of Luxembourg corporate tax compliance, corporate tax advisory and tax audit projects for Luxembourg companies and international groups. During his years with the firm, he worked six years in FSO before moving to the GCR department and spent two months as a GDS coach for EY Bangalore. His key sector expertise lies in Private Equity.

Fabien Telmat, CBS, QRM, Risk Management - Internal Controls
Fabien Telmat, a 48-year-old French national and graduate of ESC Bordeaux, joined EY Luxembourg in 1998 as an assistant in its audit practice (commercial and industrial companies). He joined the Risk Management / PPD network in 2006. He works on a wide range of Quality Audit / PPD / Risk Management / Regulatory Compliance projects.
