Stampify, a startup based in the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT), has announced its collaboration with Michael Pechner in the position of advisor.

This announcement follows that of the appointment of Pierre-Yves Lanneau Saint Leger as interim Chief Operational Officer (COO) of Stampify,

Michael Pechner has been described as an accomplished leader with management and executive experience in the financial services industry. He had a successful career in corporate banking, having spent over 20 years working with Citigroup, BNP Paribas Fortis and Barclays / Barclaycard across London, Amsterdam, Zurich and Brussels.

Commenting on his goals as advisor at Stampify, Michael Pechner stated: "I have been invited to provide advisory support to the management team across multiple areas which I plan on doing to the best of my abilities. But to be honest, I see my role as a sparring partner for Guillaume [de Vergnies, Co-founder & CEO] and Bernard [Legros, Co-founder & CIO), to challenge them in their assumptions and to guide them where needed to get the best results for Stampify. My experiences will allow me to support Stampify with their Luxembourg and international growth plans and I strongly believe that Europe and potentially beyond provides a clear opportunity for growth".

Regarding the challenges to be faced, Mr Pechner explained: "Apart from the current COVID crisis, obviously, with less physical meetings, the challenges I see relate primarily to move Stampify from a start-up to a scale-up. The vision and opportunity are clear and solid execution will be the key".

Stampify works on digitalisation and automation of shareholder registries, board meetings and general assemblies of shareholders in a legally-binding way. The startup was a recent winner of the StartupsVSCovid-19 call launched by the Ministry of Economy and Luxinnovation.
