Aquatic centre; Credit: d'Coque

Luxembourg's Ministry of Sports has announced the appointment of a new board of directors for "d'Coque" sports and culture centre.

The Cabinet of the Luxembourg government appointed Marc Mathékowitsch and Laurent Deville chairman and vice-chairman respectively of the board of directors of d'Coque.

By Grand Ducal Decree of 23 July 2020, the board of directors of d'Coque will be composed as follows, with effect from 1 August 2020:

  • Marc Mathékowitsch, honorary general administrator, chairman;
  • Laurent Deville, first government advisor to the Ministry of Sports, vice-chairman;
  • André Hoffmann, president and representative of the Luxembourg Olympic and Sports Committee, member;
  • Sophie Thoma, project manager at the Ministry of Culture, representing the association of culture, member;
  • Alex Goergen, Head of the Sports Department of the City of Luxembourg, representing the City of Luxembourg, member;
  • Jean-Claude Merjai, business administrator, member chosen for his skills in business administration, member;
  • Fabienne Gaul, head of the competitive and elite sports division at the Ministry of Sports, member;
  • Isabelle Medinger, Director of Road Safety ASBL, member;
  • Norma Zambon, Head of the Sports Department of the City of Esch-sur-Alzette, member.
