On Wednesday 15 July 2020, the Board of Directors of Luxembourg's House of Training met to complete the rank of its members after the departure of Luc Henzig at the beginning of the month.

Marc Wagener, COO and new Director of Training for the Chamber of Commerce, has been appointed as a new member of the Board of Directors of the House of Training, which is now composed as follows: Fernand Ernster (Co-President), Karin Scholtes (Co -President), Yves Maas (Vice-President), Carlo Thelen (Vice-President) and Marc Wagener (Member).

In addition, Muriel Morbé was appointed CEO of the House of Training, replacing Luc Henzig who had held this position since 2017.

As Fernand Ernster points out, this change is part of the House of Training's continuity: “[As a] training consultant in the Training Department of the Chamber of Commerce for many years, Muriel Morbé has been part of the Management of the House of Training since its creation in 2015. She therefore knows the universe of continuing professional training in Luxembourg perfectly, as well as the players, customers, companies, associations and federations evolving in this universe. This choice was therefore quite natural in order to guarantee that the vast training offer developed in recent years could still evolve and adapt to an economic environment subject to increasingly rapid changes".

At the helm of the House of Training, Muriel Morbé will be supported by Ben Lyon, Director and Head of ATTF Services, as well as Luc Neuberg, Director and Head of Banking & Finance.

Karin Scholtes said she is confident in face of the challenges associated with COVID-19: “I am convinced that the team in place, well-honed, will manage not only the current context linked to the coronavirus crisis, which is having a major impact on the training world, but also all the challenges that will arise in the post-crisis. The world of work has already changed its face and continuing education should accompany this change through the development of skills in all sectors".
