Joanne Goebbels has been nominated for the position of director of the National Library of Luxembourg, more widely known by its French abbreviation BnL.
At its meeting of Friday 24 April 2020, the government cabinet decided to propose to His Royal Highness the Grand Duke the appointment of Joanne Goebbels as director of the BnL from 3 July 2020.
Joanne Goebbels holds a master's degree in modern literature and a diploma of in-depth studies in comparative literature with a focus on French-speaking literature at Paris-Sorbonne University.
In addition to serving as deputy director of the Athénée de Luxembourg since 2018, she also works there as a French teacher and holds the position of coordinator of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and international classes.
