Deloitte Luxembourg recently announced the appointment of Ludovic Bardon, Sylvain Crepin, Michael Holzmann, Julien Lamotte, Hervé Marchand and Sophie Vanesse to partner, and Damien Ghielmini, Michel Lambion and Olivier Zeler to managing director with effect from 1 June 2018.

Reflecting the firm’s international agenda and its strong focus on technology, Deloitte Luxembourg has appointed six new partners and three new managing directors. With these appointments, the firm now counts more than 100 partners and managing directors, all engaged in the leadership of the firm’s 2,350 professionals.

Deloitte Luxembourg has appointed the following professionals to partner:

French Ludovic Bardon has 13 years of external audit experience and spent one year as an internal auditor in a leading insurance undertaking. Ludovic is a Réviseur d’entreprises agréé, and specialises in the insurance and reinsurance industry;

French Sylvain Crepin specializes in risk advisory, risk analytics, and managed risk solutions for the investment fund industry. He has in-depth knowledge of Solvency II, VAG, PRIIPs, Value-at-Risk and AIFMD and is a certified Financial Risk Manager;

German-American Michael Holzmann has in-depth expertise in IT transformation programmes and core banking system conversion and integration. Michael translates complex business and IT strategies into project portfolios and roadmaps. He has broad international experience;

French Julien Lamotte is a tax adviser with vast experience in international tax structuring of groups within the financial services industry. He mainly advises banking clients and PSFs, but also provides tax advice to asset managers, insurance/reinsurance undertakings and FinTechs;

Belgian Hervé Marchand specialises in large projects in the financial sector, with a specific focus on regulatory, core system transformation and enterprise data management projects. He combines strong business knowledge and IT expertise;

Belgian Sophie Vanesse serves mainly Private Equity clients, many of which are based in the US and in the UK. Her field of expertise covers Luxembourg fund structuring, ongoing tax advice on Luxembourg vehicles, tax due diligence services and local tax compliance.

The following professionals were appointed to managing director:

French-Swiss Damien Ghielmini has 30 years of experience in the management and delivery of large IT transformation projects, mainly within the financial industry and the public sector. He is also an expert in assessing complex IT architectures;

Belgian Michel Lambion is a seasoned tax adviser, specialised in VAT, with 26 years of experience. He is a recognised reference when it comes to VAT and chairs the VAT working groups at ALFI and EFAMA;

Belgian Olivier Zeler has 22 years of experience in accounting compliance and consulting for commercial and financial industries. He is an Expert-Comptable and has been instrumental in the development of the firm’s accounting practice.
