LuxairTours has announced the appointment of Mrs. Lidia Mele to the position of Vice President Sales of the tour operator within the Luxair group.
As of 12 September 2016, she took the responsibility of LuxairTours commercial and back office activities for the Luxembourg, German, French and Belgian markets and will oversee the services of Customers Relations, Telephone Sales and Charter Groups.
Mrs. Lidia Mele has a solid experience in the travel industry and tourism acquired from large groups such as American Airlines, Pierre & Vacances and, more recently, Kuoni where she held the position of Sales Director and Member of the Management Committee.
Mrs. Lidia Mele will succeed Justin Striby who decided to retire from late January 2017. Until then, Mr. Striby will support Mrs Mele in taking up her new position to ensure a smooth and effective transition.
