Administration services provider Elian announced Tuesday the appointment of Stephen Osmont to the post of associate director of its real estate division in Luxembourg.

Mr. Osmont will be moving to the Grand Duchy from Jersey to take up his new role, replacing Paul Lawrence who will be starting a new position as head of European funds in London. Mr. Osmont will be responsible for maintaining and growing Elian's portfolio of real estate and corporate clients and will also be working with the newly-acquired SFM Europe team to identify further opportunities within the business and continue the integration of the two entities.

"Paul has successfully built up a very strong offering for Elian in Luxembourg and I hope to significantly contribute to the continued growth of the real estate and corporate services business through leading on business development and sales activities, whilst maintaining Elian's reputation for excellent standards of client service," commented Stephen Osmont.

"Stephen's role in Luxembourg represents a chance to participate in and influence the growth of a key Elian jurisdiction," remarked Paul Lawrence, Elian head of European funds. "The merger with SFM Europe has created a huge number of new opportunities and nowhere is this truer than in Luxembourg. Stephen is a great asset to the company and is the right person to help Elian achieve continued growth in this important jurisdiction."

Mr. Osmont holds more than 15 years experience in the financial services industry, having spent four years at Ernst & Young Trust Company (International) Limited where he became qualified as chartered certified accountant. His time with Elian has been primarily focused in real estate and corporate services in Jersey and fund services in the BVI.
