StarTalers, a Luxembourg startup aimed at promoting inclusive investment, has raised €820,000 during its latest funding round, bringing the total amount raised since its launch in 2018 to €1.3 million.
As reported in Silicon Luxembourg, the second half of 2021 will be busy for StarTalers. Once it has received the final agreement from Luxembourg's financial supervisory authority, the CSSF, which is expected by the end of July, the startup will launch the test phases of its financial management platform: Capitana. One test phase is designed for family and friends and another for 300 beta testers. In addition, two new IT members will join the team this summer.
The official launch of the platform is planned for 1 October 2021 in Luxembourg and Belgium, followed by France on 1 January 2022. The mobile application should be available before the end of 2021 as well.
Commenting on the latest funding round, Gaëlle Haag, CEO and co-founder of StarTalers, told Silicon Luxembourg that she could count on the support of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange (LuxSE), as well as Leansquare, which joined this round, and a groups of Business Angels who have been a part of this journey since the beginning.
