On Thursday 24 September 2026, the Luxembourg Confederation of Christian Trade Unions (LCGB) announced that, following intensive and constructive negotiations, it had agreed with the college of aldermen and municipal council of the Municipality of Redange-sur-Attert to renew the collective agreement covering nearly 30 municipal employees.
According to the LCGB, the new collective agreement will enter into force on 1 January 2027 and remain valid until 31 December 2028.
The agreement will "align the employees’ working and pay conditions with those of the collective agreement for the southern municipalities". All the stipulated elements will be applied on the basis of the lower point value. The negotiations also resulted in an agreement on an annual salary bonus of 1% for 2026.
The LCGB noted that the discussions were characterised by open and constructive social dialogue: “The differing positions of the negotiating partners were brought together, resulting in an agreement that takes into account both the interests of employees and the municipality’s financial and organisational framework.”
