On Tuesday 4 February 2025, the Luxembourg Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (LPEA) announced their 15th anniversary celebrations, which are taking place on Thursday 6 February 2025.

This exclusive event will bring together members and friends of the association, as well as distinguished guests.

According to LPEA, the event will highlight the association’s growth, its strategic vision for the next five years and key developments within the Private Equity and Venture Capital (PE/VC) ecosystem both in Europe and Luxembourg.

LPEA noted that the event will include a speech by Luxembourg’s Minister of Finance, Gilles Roth, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Anne Canel. Panellists include Eric de Montgolfier (CEO of Invest Europe), who will provide updates on Invest Europe, regulatory developments and key trends such as "retailisation" and social value creation. Claus Mansfeldt (Chairman of SwanCap Luxembourg and President of LPEA) will discuss post-COVID industry shifts and ongoing value creation in the sector, while Stéphane Pesch (CEO of LPEA) will address the growth of Luxembourg’s PE/VC industry and LPEA’s expanding presence.

Claus Mansfeldt, Chairman of SwanCap Luxembourg & President of LPEA, said: "Celebrating fifteen years of LPEA is a testament to the strength and resilience of Luxembourg’s Private Equity and Venture Capital ecosystem. Together, we have built a dynamic platform that drives growth, employs thousands of skilled people and creates value for all stakeholders. We now have industry leadership advantages but also challenges to remain there. Hence, this milestone inspires us to remain innovative, competitive and focused on ensuring a bright future for our industry in Luxembourg and beyond.”

"This is a moment to recognise the dedication and drive of all international and local PE/VC professionals and visionaries, who have propelled our industry forward. If we look into the future, our focus will be to strengthen further our network, reinforce industry standards, drive innovation, enhance education and attract talents. Luxembourg has become a crucial hub for Private Equity and Venture Capital, and we are committed to reinforce this momentum with a strategic vision that will foster a sustainable and ambitious growth,” added Stéphane Pesch, CEO of LPEA.

Since its inception, LPEA has grown to represent over 200 investors and managers of Private Capital Funds in Luxembourg. Earlier this year, the association surpassed 600 members, uniting a broad network of private equity and venture capital professionals. LPEA has contributed to the development of Luxembourg’s PE/VC sector by adapting to market changes and launching initiatives in advocacy, data collection, education and talent retention, while also promoting Luxembourg internationally.
