According to the LCGB trade union, transport company Getrans S.A. has filed for bankruptcy, putting 32 jobs in Luxembourg at risk.

Following news of the bankruptcy, the LCGB has voiced its concerns over the fate of the Weiswampach-based company's 32 employees.

Getrans S.A. mainly operates as an international transport company for goods, finished and semi-finished products and raw materials, as well as as a freight forwarder. The LCGB has expressed concern over the consequences of this bankruptcy for its suppliers and customers.

The union claimed that some of the company's employees have not been paid since January 2021. The LCGB will thus prioritise ensuring that employees receive payment delays and bankruptcy-related indemnities as quickly as possible. The union added that it will assist employees in preparing their claims and in their search for new employment.
