On Thursday 10 April 2025, Luxembourg-based innovation and technology agency The Dots reported on the fourth edition of TN'Teens, a flagship event of EschTechWeek dedicated to secondary school students passionate about technology and innovation.

The event, which took place at the Digital Learning Hub in Esch-Belval on Thursday 3 April 2025, brought together nearly 300 students from across Luxembourg and the Greater Region for a full day of workshops, talks and friendly.

The day began with a series of fifteen thematic workshops led by TN'Teens partners and sponsors, which offered participants the chance to, build and exchange ideas with professionals eager to share their expertise. Topics discussed included artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, virtual reality, data collection and analysis, cryptography, fact-checking, conversational assistants and creative coding.

The afternoon session began with an introduction by the CEO of The Dots, Kamel Amroune, followed by a speech from Alderman of the City of Esch-sur-Alzette, Bruno Cavaleiro, who praised the commitment of the students and thanked the speakers. The programme then moved to a presentation by YouTuber Le Roi des Rats, which detailed the dangers of social media and shared real-life examples of online scams and cyberbullying.

This was followed by the testimony of former hacker turned ethical cybersecurity expert, Florent Curtet, and police commander and author, Pierre Penalba. Together, they retraced Florent's path that led him into cybercrime and eventually to his arrest by Pierre himself and talked of how they now work side by side in the field of cybersecurity.

The event concluded with a quiz based on the morning's workshops and general knowledge. After an initial round of questions, five finalists, all from Lycée Français du Luxembourg – Vauban, were selected to participate in the next round, with each finalist paired with a mentor from the Luxembourg technology community. After the second round, two finalists were chosen to face off in the grand finale.

The overall winner was Hugo, who was mentored by Guillaume Tanferri of LuxProvide, operator of Luxembourg's supercomputer MeluXina. All five finalists received prizes offered by the event's sponsors and partners.
