Since the morning of Thursday 21 March 2024, several Luxembourg State websites have been the subject of a cyber DDOS (distributed denial of service) attack.
A DDOS attack consists of saturating the targets' computer resources.
State services noted they are taking all necessary measures to limit the impact of the incident and restore services as quickly as possible.
Luxembourg’s Prime Minister, Luc Frieden, convened a crisis unit. This unit is currently meeting to discuss appropriate future measures. On instructions from the Prime Minister, the Minister of Digitalisation, Stéphanie Obertin, is chairing the crisis unit. The Prime Minister is permanently informed and actively involved in all decision-making.
