Luxembourg-based non-profit organisation Infrachain has launched the fourth edition of the Infrachain Challenge, a blockchain hackathon, scheduled to take place on Thursday 15 and Friday 16 June 2023 at the GovTech Lab Luxembourg.

The future national registry of buildings and housing is at the heart of the 2023 Infrachain Challenge. The participants’ task will be to develop decentralised tools and applications leveraging the information from the registry.

Teams can have between three and six members. The top three teams will win cash prizes totaling €10,500.

In 2022, the project by the ZeroKnowledge team, “Gamification for Reduced Energy Consumption", won the competition. This team included experts from the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) of the University of Luxembourg, the University of Bayreuth, as well as the Project Group Business and Information Systems Engineering of the Fraunhofer FIT.

Infrachain, the Luxembourg-based corporate blockchain community, organises the hackathon with the support of Luxembourg’s Ministry of Digitalisation.

Team registrations for the Infrachain Challenge are open until Thursday 25 May 2023. Further information is available at http://challenge.infrachain.com.
