The tenth edition of the European Cybersecurity Month (ECSM) kicked off across the European Union (EU) on Saturday 1 October 2022.

The ECSM is the annual awareness campaign organised by the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA), the European Commission and EU Member States, including Luxembourg.

The theme chosen for this tenth anniversary edition is "choose to be safe online". The campaign aims to inform Internet users in particular about phishing and ransomware which represent already well-known and persistent risks.

In the age of digital transformation, cybersecurity challenges are intensifying and the importance for users to have the right knowledge is on the rise. The ECSM campaign aims to raise the public's awareness of good online practices in a regular, relevant way and in an accessible language.

In the Grand Duchy, Cybersecurity Week Luxembourg will take place from 17 to 20 October 2022. This year's edition will go ahead under a new format: Fair & Meet-Up. For the first time, on 19 and 20 October 2022, an event will bring together under one roof in Luxembourg the cybersecurity ecosystem, European institutions and key international players to discuss the challenges related to the rapid development of our connected world. More than 30 international exhibitors, 20 events and conferences addressing different areas of activity related to cybersecurity will punctuate these two days.

In addition, matchmaking sessions will be organised in cooperation with the Enterprise Europe Network of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce. These will allow participants to get in touch with other professionals in the sector or even to forge new partnerships through pre-organised business meetings.
