Luxembourg-based companies Labgroup and Datacenter.eu have announced new teleworking offers for companies during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

The outbreak of coronavirus has forced companies to rethink their way of working and to rely more than ever on internet technologies to keep their operations running. In addition, hackers have been found to increasingly take advantage of the pandemic crisis to attack already vulnerable businesses and institutions with DDoS and other cyberattacks, as reported by "Securitymadein.lu".

In order to help organisations cope with the many shocks caused by this crisis, Datacenter.eu has decided to launch its "COVID-19 solidarity offer" with three-month free high quality internet services with no commitment. As part of this offer, monthly fees are waived for three months, during which time companies have free access to a wide range of ISO 27001 certified cloud, connectivity, Baas/DRaaS or DDoS protection solutions. Service cancellations can be made at any time and without penalties and emergency requests for an accelerated delivery of services will not be invoiced on top of the normal setup fees. Similarly, service orders placed by customers wishing to enhance, improve or harden their existing environment will not be subjected to setup fees.

In addition, Labgroup announced that it is also offering free and commitment-free solutions and complementary services to support companies with teleworking in these challenging times. Labgroup CEO Bernard Moreau explained: “Companies had no choice but to quickly adapt their IT environment so that they could allow their employees to telework. However, beyond these IT challenges, we identified new emerging needs for which it has been necessary to develop adequate services quickly".

In this context, Labgroup is offering five simplified solutions, which it describes as quick to implement while responding to current challenges:
  • Safe telework, offering all new VPS clients three months' free hosting of their server(s) in the company's private cloud and VPN (Virtual Private Network) access to connect remotely and securely business applications, without any further commitment;
  • Electronic signature, offering clients the firm's EDM (Electronic Document Management) with integrated electronic signature functionalities (100 free e-signatures) for three months free of charge and without any commitment;
  • Scanning of incoming mail, offering outsourced management of incoming mail to optimise the processing and sharing of invoices, contracts, purchase orders, etc.;
  • Scan on demand, offering a service to scan archive boxes stored in Labgroup's warehouses;
  • Home delivery of archive boxes, enabling clients to have their archive boxes, currently stored in the firm's warehouses, delivered to their home address..
Bernand Moreau concluded: “The health and safety of our clients and our teams are a priority for us. We would like to sincerely thank all of our teams for the work they do on a daily basis despite these difficult circumstances. Thanks to them, we continue to provide exceptional, safe service to our clients".
