The Union Luxembourgeoise de Patinage de Vitesse (ULPV) has reported that COSL Cadre skater Peter Murphy is leaving for Asia on Friday 29 November 2024 to compete in the ISU Short Track World Tour.
Peter Murphy will skate in the ISU World Tour 3 in Beijing, China from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 December 2024. His journey will continue on to Seoul in South Korea, where he will compete in the ISU World Tour 4 from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 December 2024.
Peter's results from the ISU World Tour 2 held in Montreal, Canada were as follows: 500m - 42.890 and 1000m - 1:26.373.
Last weekend, Julie Kiesgen skated in the Alta Valtellina Trophy in Bormio, Italy, where she secured a new personal best (PB) in all skated distances. Her results were as follows: 1000m - 1:42.706 and 1500m - 02:44.435.
Earlier this month, Julie Kiesgen was among the skaters competing in the Regional League Benelux Cup 1 in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Other Luxembourg skaters on this occasion included: Sidoine Conesa, Amanda Yao, Elias Castan, Chloé Ska, Monaline Cornillon and Chris Wang. Together, they set nine PBs.
Next weekend, 180 skaters in Category CD are competing in Oberstdorf, Germany, where some ULPV members will also be helping as volunteers. On Sunday, the ULPV is also organising a small Nikolaus-Cup at Kockelscheuer, where it will use its electronic timekeeping system.
The ULPV also noted that the Benelux Cup will take place on Sunday 15 December 2024 and the Starclass 2 CD Competition will run from Friday 31 January to Sunday 2 February 2025 at Kockelscheuer.
