On Wednesday 4 May 2022, Luxembourg's Minister of Civil Service, Marc Hansen, presented the new promotion campaign of GovJobs, the recruitment portal for the Civil Service.

With more than 32,000 active agents on 1 May 2022, the State is Luxembourg's largest employer. In order to support the country in the face of current and future challenges and to be able to ensure its proper functioning, the Public Service needs the best talents.

With more than 2,300 new positions to be filled in 2022, the new campaign around the GovJobs portal is the first step in a more extensive communication effort, and whose objective is twofold: to further support ministries and administrations in their recruitment, and attract the best talent. The strength of this multi-channel campaign is thus based on highlighting the diversity of professions, projects, activities and know-how within state entities. The whole carried by the agents of the State currently in post in ministries and administrations.

Minister Hansen insisted on the continuous efforts made by the Ministry of the Public Service and its attached administrations to make the State a modern employer. The support of state entities is indeed one of the priorities of the ministry, as is the promotion of the diversity of employment within the state. Minister Hansen recalled: “We are all working together to energise our entities and we are looking for competent employees who are ready to make things happen, with us.”

Finally, Minister Hansen thanked the 22 state agents who participated in the campaign.

The GovJobs promotion campaign will be rolled out in the coming weeks. The materials are offered in both Luxembourgish and French, and the GovJobs portal will also be reviewed so that the content will eventually also be available in Luxembourgish.

GovJobs is the primary recruitment channel for the Civil Service. The portal was launched in April 2017 and is managed by the Center for Personnel Management and State Organisation, an administration under the Ministry of Public Service.

On GovJobs, candidates can consult the vacancies of the Civil Service and apply online, register for the various competitive examinations of the Civil Service, but also of the municipal sector, discover the diversity of professions and subscribe to newsletters . Recently, GovJobs also offers the municipal sector to publish its vacancies on the site.

Since its launch in 2017, GovJobs has been able to total more than 8.6 million visits and more than 3.6 million unique visitors.
