Gad Amar, Global Head of Business Development at Edmond de Rothschild;
Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management has appointed Gad Amar as Global Head of Business Development.
Gad Amar will take up the position of Global Head of Business Development from 6 November 2017. He will subsequently be based in Paris, sit on the Executive Committee and report to Vincent Taupin, Global CEO Asset Management and Chairman of the Executive Board at Edmond de Rothschild in France.
Gad Amar, aged 45, started his career in 1996 at RBC Dominion Securities in Montreal. From 1998 to 2009, he held various sales positions working with institutional client and in distribution, first for Fidelity Canada and then at JP Morgan Asset Management in Paris. In 2010, he was put in charge of client distribution (France and Monaco) at BlackRock and then in 2014 was appointed head of the London-based Strategic Product Management team with a seat on the European Executive Committee. In 2017, he was appointed head of client distribution for France, Belgium and Luxembourg. At the same time, he was made head of the development team for the largest family offices in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Edmond de Rothschild commented that they see this appointment as “a major step forward in our efforts to extend our presence among institutional investors, distribution partners and IFAs”.
