As it enters its thirteenth year, Alter Domus has announced the opening of its new office in Sydney, Australia.

The addition of the Sydney office represents an important achievement in Alter Domus’ long-term strategy of expanding and securing its presence and service offering in the Asia-Pacific. Australia has one of the largest Fund Services industries globally and benefits from solid economic ties with rapidly developing economies in Asia, making the Sydney office of key strategic importance to Alter Domus.

Laurent Vanderweyen, CEO of Alter Domus, commented “The Sydney office will greatly strengthen the company’s platform in the Asia-Pacific and allow us to offer an even wider array of services to our clients, both within that region and internationally. The opening of this new office in Sydney, an important financial capital, is a result of our commitment to continually broaden our international presence, and bring our high quality services to every jurisdiction within our expanding reach.”

Peter Zanapalis will be taking the lead as the head of Alter Domus’ newest international office. With more than 15 years of experience in the fund industry, Peter brings with him substantial knowledge and expertise in financial services within Asia-Pacific. He will be responsible for developing the new Sydney team, while also working with Alter Domus’ established Asian offices in China, Hong Kong and Singapore, and building up a portfolio of clients in Australia.

Zanapalis said “This is a very exciting opportunity to introduce Alter Domus, a European based service provider, into our already thriving funds industry in Australia. Given Alter Domus’ upstanding track record and renowned expertise in servicing clients in both fund administration and corporate services, I have no doubt that Alter Domus will quickly become an important player in the financial services industry in Sydney.”
