On Tuesday 16 June 2026, Luxembourg's representatives in the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League and UEFA Conference League learned their opponents for the first qualifying round, with the matches scheduled to take place in the first half of July 2026.

Following the draw in Nyon, Switzerland, BGL Ligue champions Atert Bissen will face KÍ Klaksvík, 22-time champions of the Faroe Islands, in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League. KÍ Klaksvík will host the first leg on Tuesday 7 or Wednesday 8 July 2026, before travelling to Luxembourg for the return fixture on Tuesday 14 or Wednesday 15 July 2026.

KÍ Klaksvík have previous experience against Luxembourg champions at this stage of the competition. In the 2024/25 season, the Faroese side eliminated FC Differdange 03 with a 2-0 aggregate victory.

In the UEFA Conference League, Loterie Nationale Coupe de Luxembourg winners FC Differdange 03 will face Finnish side Ilves Tampere in the first qualifying round.

BGL Ligue bronze medallists US Mondorf-les-Bains will face Dinamo Tbilisi, the nineteen-time Georgian champions, who currently sit fourth in the Erovnuli Liga.

Another representative of the Grand Duchy, UNA Strassen, will take on La Fiorita 1967 of San Marino. The Montegiardino-based club finished fourth in last season's domestic league and are six-time Sammarinese champions as well as eight-time national cup winners.

All three Luxembourg representatives in the UEFA Conference League will play their first-leg matches at home on Thursday 9 July 2026, with the return fixtures scheduled away from home on 16 July 2026.
