On Wednesday 14 May 2025, the finalists of the Loterie Nationale Coupe de Luxembourg football competition were confirmed following the conclusion of both semi-final matches.
F91 Dudelange secured a 3-2 victory over Racing Union. Filip Bojić opened the scoring in the 20th minute with a well-placed strike after Allan Delferrière failed to clear a cross from Kino Delorge. Despite Dudelange’s control, António Gomes equalised for Racing just before half-time, scoring from close range after Yann Mabella’s effort was parried by Didier Desprez — in the fourth minute of added time at the end of the first half.
Dudelange regained the lead in the 58th minute when Kino Delorge turned in a flick from Evan Rotundo. Six minutes later, the two reversed roles as Delorge set up Rotundo, who finished at the near post to make it 3-1. Racing reduced the deficit in the 81st minute after a mix-up between Desprez and Mehdi Kirch allowed Mabella to score. António Gomes appeared to have forced extra time with a late equaliser following a pass from Nestor Monge, but the goal was ruled out for offside. The match ended with red cards shown to Racing Union players Yann Mabella and Kablan N’Goma.
In the second semi-final, only one team found the net. BGL Ligue champions FC Differdange 03 hosted FC Wiltz 71, who had eliminated 2024 cup holders Progrès Niederkorn in the quarter-finals.
Wiltz threatened first with a harmless shot on target in the seventeenth minute, while Differdange responded with a flurry of attempts two minutes later, following a skilful move from Guillaume Trani. Efforts by Andreas Buch and Artur Abreu were denied by Wiltz goalkeeper Ralph Schon. In added time at the end of the first half, Abreu broke the deadlock with a curled right-footed strike into the top corner to give Differdange a 1-0 lead.
After the break, Trani doubled the advantage in the 60th minute, finishing from close range after a low cross from Buch. Kevin D’Anzico made it 3-0 in the 72nd minute with a powerful header from a Trani corner. Yassine El Idrissi later struck the post and goalkeeper Felipe preserved his clean sheet, marking a sixteenth consecutive match without conceding in all competitions.
F91 Dudelange and FC Differdange 03 will meet in the final of the Loterie Nationale Coupe de Luxembourg, scheduled to take place on Wednesday 28 May 2025 at 19:30 at the Stade de Luxembourg.
