
On Tuesday 18 March 2025, the Fédération Luxembourgeoise de Football (FLF) announced the upcoming friendly matches for the men’s national football team during the international window in June 2025.
Luc Holtz’s team are set to play two home matches during this time. On Tuesday 10 June 2025, the national team will face Ireland at the Stade de Luxembourg at 20:45.
The FLF also confirmed that the friendly against Slovenia will take place on Friday 6 June 2025 at 20:15, also at the Stade de Luxembourg.
Information on ticket sales will be announced in the near future.
Luxembourg’s Red Lions (Rout Léiwen) have faced Slovenia four times - twice during the 2002 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and twice in the UEFA Euro 2008 qualifiers. On each occasion, Luxembourg suffered defeat, with an overall goal difference of 1-9.
Against Ireland, Luxembourg’s record is slightly better, with one win and six defeats in seven meetings. Their only victory came in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers in March 2021, when Gerson Rodrigues scored the decisive goal in a 1-0 away win.
