The Luxembourg branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann has announced that Miscellany of Folk is performing in the Grand Duchy later this month as part of their European tour.
The three musicians from Ireland and Newfoundland will perform at Centre Jean-François Boch in Luxembourg-Rollingergrund on Saturday 21 October 2023. Doors open at 19:30, with the concert kicking off at 20:00.
Formed in 2022, Miscellany of Folk is a touring act bringing together three experienced musicians: Billy Sutton (fiddle, bodhrán, mandola and vocals), Eddie Costello (lead vocals and acoustic guitar) and Benny McCarthy (button accordion and melodeon). After decades of performing around the world, their music traverses the Atlantic Ocean, spanning from the Emerald Isle to North America.
Miscellany of Folk will take listeners on a lucid musical journey through the vast world of folk music, with a repertoire of thoughtfully crafted songs and foot-stomping instrumental music, noted Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann - Lucsamburg.
